Review: I ordered this London Travel Gift London Lover Gifts London City Skyline London Themed Gifts for London Traveller because I needed a new pen/pencil case, and I loved the cute print.London is my second favorite city in the whole world. (NYC, where I live is #1 in my heart, but London is a close second.) I always said that if I couldnât live in NY, Iâd choose London. I think my love goes all the way back to childhood, so many wonderful childrenâs books take place in or near London.Anyway, I was looking for a good sized pen/pencil pouch to corral some of the myriad writing instruments currently colonizing my desk, and when I saw this one, I loved it.This reminds me of many happy times spent in London. Iâve always loved the cute, âtouristyâ prints on London themed goods. So many London sights are very iconic and photogenicâthe black cabs, the red double decker busses, the London Eye, Big Ben, etc. London understands ceremony, it knows how to put on a show.I have a beloved scarf from one trip to London, bought from a kiosk for its cheerfully touristy print. My kid and I discovered in delight, a few minutes after we left the area, that it was riddled with amusing misspellings. Lomdon Bribdge, that sort of thing. The print on this reminds me of that in the best possible way. Not because it is misspelled, but because it has so many cute little pictures of famous London sights.This pouch is made of a woven fabric. The sales page says it it waterproof linen. It doesnât feel like linen, but maybe that is the waterproofing? The pouch is about 7â tall x 10â wide. The bottom pleat unfolds to about 2â. There is plenty of room inside the pouch to carry whatever you like. I filled it with pens and pencils and markers, but you could use it for cosmetics, or medicine, or snacks⦠whatever you like.There is a sturdy black zipper at the top with a metal tab. It zips and unzips easily.The design is printed in black and colors, mostly red and blue. The pouch that I got was a slightly darker color than shown on the sales page. In the photos, the pouch appears white. The one I received is more of a beige color. It is still very cute, but there is a little less contrast between the background and the printed images.A great size to throw in your purse or backpack or even your suitcase, maybe for a trip to London? This could make a cute gift, too, maybe for someone planning a trip to London. Fill it with a London A-Z map and some good British chocolate!Sturdy woven pouch measures approximately 7â x 10â with a zippered top. Plenty of room to hold pens, cosmetics, snacks, etc. Very cute London themed print features red phone boxes, black cabs, flags and more iconic images.
