The instructions are a bit confusing, but in about 45 minutes we were able to set up the rower. The tool kit is completely sufficient for assembly.
Impressions
The processing of the Bluefin Fitness Blade 2.0 seems quite correct. The seat rail and the seat are very stable. The liner on the front of the rower, on the other hand, feels a bit cheap and the footrests also look a bit rickety. It seems very doubtful that the rower will still be able to function properly in a few years. Logically, we should not expect too much from the price.

Resistance
The resistance is not really that weak as you might think at first. However, we were unable to find out the weight of the flywheel, there is no indication of this. We couldn’t find anything on the website or in the manual. It doesn’t mean anything good. We estimate that the Fitness Blade 2.0 has a flywheel of almost 4 kg. It’s not a lot, but it’s enough for people with very little training. The 8 resistance levels do not differ very much. Too bad.
Sound volume
The Fitness Blade 2.0 is not particularly loud while rowing. Magnetic resistance can be heard as well as the seat slide as it passes over the rail. But all at a good volume. You can also easily watch TV next door if you turn up the volume a bit. You don’t have to worry about your neighbors either. The rower is not really loud.
Training computer
The computer is at eye level and easy to read thanks to the illuminated display. Unfortunately, the display is not very large and people with sight problems will have difficulty reading the screen.

The caloric value unfortunately works very poorly and the distance also does not seem correct. The values were far too high.
Unfortunately, the computer does not contain a training program. It is also not possible to pair a heart rate belt with the computer.
Applications
The eHealth app can be connected to the console via Bluetooth if it works. Unfortunately, the application has hardly been developed since its introduction and many users have huge problems with the application. In terms of functionality, the app is very poor and out of date.

If you choose the Bluefin Fitness Blade 2.0, the app shouldn’t matter to you. otherwise, you will only be disappointed.
Storage
The BlueFin Fitness Blade 2.0 does not have the classic folding function like on many magnetic rowers. For storage, the rower should be raised and then tilted.
Unfortunately, the Fitness Blade 2.0 does not have transport wheels, which is, by the way, absolutely banned in 2024. This means that if the rower is stored a little further away, you will have to lift it with force and the carry until it can tip over. Hello back!
Even then, the rower takes up a lot of space when tilted because the computer cannot be folded. For a rower intended for domestic use, this is very damaging because you have to be able to leave it in place, which is not always easy depending on the space available!
Conclusion on the Bluefin Fitness Blade 2.0
We are a bit disappointed with the Bluefin Fitness Blade 2.0 despite its price. First of all, a lot of information is missing such as, for example, the applications that can be connected to the computer or the flywheel inertia weight. Also, the storage is advertised as “innovative” … that’s a bad joke.
In the price bracket there are much better alternatives such as The SportPlus SP-MR-008 or the Sportstech RSX400, which costs a bit more, but the extra is worth it.
