Chinese shrimp dumplings
Ingredients for Chinese shrimp dumplings/ 4 people

200 g of sausage
100g cooked prawns

teaspoon sesame oil

PREPARATION Chinese shrimp dumplings

Peel and roughly chop the ginger and onion. Shell the shrimp, cut into small
pieces, then put them in a food processor bowl with the sausage meat, ginger,
onion, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar and starch. One full turn of the
pepper mill and bet to obtain a homogeneous farce.

Cut the dough disc of about 8cm,
using a cookie cutter.

Place a dollop of filling in the center of each disc, brush the edges lightly
with egg yolk added a tablespoon of water. Close the ravioli in expelling air
and overlapping the edges to get small creases.

Ingredients for Golden Fruit and Nut Bars Recipe
3/4 c Dates;pitted
1/2 c Almonds;sliced, toasted if

1/4 c Dried apricots;finely

1 ts Orange rind;grated
1/4 c Butter
1/3 c Corn syrup
1/3 c Brown sugar;firmly packed
1/2 ts Vanilla
6 c Cornflakes cereal
Golden Fruit and Nut Bars Preparation
You can add sesame and sunflower seeds and coconut to these (to imitate Nature Classics from Confectionately Yours). I found refrigerating them made them easier to cut. Combine dates, almonds, apricots and orange rind, set aside. In large, heavy saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in corn syrup and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly intil sugar is dissloved and mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Add cereal and fruit-nut mixture, stirring till evenly coated. Press mixture firmly into greased 9 inch square pan. When partially cool, cut into bars. Cool completely. MAKES 16 to 24 BARS (Butter can be meltred by microwaving at High 30-60 seconds, stir in syrup and sugar, microwave at High for 2 to 3 minutes or till sugar is dissolved, stirring 3 times. Continue as above.)

Dissolve
the yeast in warm water. Add remaining ingredients and knead a bit. Let rise
about one hour. Pinch off a piece about the size of an egg and make a hole in
the middle. Fry in 1-2 inches of oil. Drain on paper towels. Shake in a brown
bag with granulated sugar. NOTES : The fried dough that I literallly grew up on
was just plain Italian bread dough. No sugar and no shortening. Can’t keep this
cooking fast enough!! ENJOY!!!
