“I love these Clued In travel books!”

Please note: There have been recent one-star reviews that contain wildly untrue criticisms purposely meant to damage our brand. Rest assured that our paperback editions measure only 5″ x 8″ and weigh just 8 ounces. At around 200 pages, our travel books contain all the info needed for an incredible trip, and are not the size of a “brochure.” They have normal-sized fonts, and what is not Googleable in them are our concise, personal opinions of each sight, hotel, restaurant, and transport option, which is the very point of our books.

Not your average Opera House.

There are actually two major opera houses in Paris: one that’s beautiful and one that’s ugly. We tell you which is which, and how you can explore the beautiful one without even going to a performance.

Lunch on the Eiffel Tower?

Yes, please.

But having this special experience is not as simple to do as it might seem. Get clued in before your trip with specific info for a successful visit to the City of Lights. You’ll be glad you did.

Is the Moulin Rouge for you?

Clued In Paris lets you discover things to see and do here that actually fit your taste and budget. We love this nightclub show but it may not be for everyone.

Title: The best!
Review: This is the best travel guidebook I’ve ever had! I wish I had this when I went to Rome 5 months ago. This book is so different from other travel guide books. They give good information about everything, yet I felt like I’m listening to some old friends who know the city well. There are too much general information everywhere, not only in guidebooks but also in several internet sites. In my opinion, we don’t need general information anymore because you don’t need to purchase those to know about them. What’s good about it they talk like “well, this is what I do, but you can opt otherwise,” so there I get a clue how to find other’s opinion by searching in internet by typing “A or B in this area?” The point is that I can imagine how it will go as if I went there, so it gives me clues to find additional information I need to know. They don’t need to tell everything as a matter of fact. There are not many photos in the book, but I searched them anyway by curiosity, and found more information and useful blogs I bookmarked. There’s one information I think they forgot to say, was the time limit of metro ticket which is 90 minutes from the first entry, though they did say one could use one ticket several times. And if I’m not mistaken, if you bought a ticket from bus driver at 2 euros, you can’t use the ticket to ride a metro.

Title: Good guide
Review: A good little guide with good tips. I think its way off base on the tipping portion by a MILE, and I was surprised that there was no mention of Uber, but Taxi’s are recommended.

Title: I Won’t Travel Without the Clued In Books!
Review: We purchased 3 of the clued in books for our trip to Europe, and I have to say these books were amazing! They give you just what you need to make the best of your trip. First, they are helpful and easy to read prior to your trip, to help you with planning and prioritizing your sightseeing. But even better, were the useful meal recommendations for places nearby the various sites you were visiting. I downloaded the Clued in Paris, London, and Rome books on to my Kindle app on my phone. Many times on our trip, we were able to quickly look up nearby restaurants, and avoid the tourist trap places. 4 of our top favorite meals on our trip were locations recommended by the Clued In Books!

Title: Excellent advice for a reasonable price
Review: If you like a book that does not provide so many options to give you mind lock, this book is for you. With the authors’ limited but high quality recommendations of restaurants, hotels, cheese shops, and museums, it makes decision making easy. The recommendation to take a river boat ride when the museums are most crowded (the book tells you when) is two smart bits of information in one place. Perhaps the greatest feature is that the information is very current, updated annually, and supplemented by a blog.

Title: Great for disabled travelers!!
Review: We just got back from Paris and this book was invaluable. My boyfriend is mobility challenged and this book tells you where accessible and free entrances to museums are. Also what has stairs and might be difficult. Restaurant recommendations were also fabulous. Buying one for every city we go to!!!

Title: Practical advice!
Review: I’ll be headed to Paris and I really love how they give personal tips on what to see-what to save for next time, etc. Some “must-sees” are not your typical, obvious choices and I appreciate that. They also include accommodation, restaurants and general advice. Written in such a way it seems you’re having a conversation about Paris, not attending a lecture. I also have the Rome book. Wish there were more!!

Title: Basic and not updated
Review: This is a very basic guidebook meant for someone who knows nothing about Paris. The worst part is this claims to be a 2020 version but is definitely not. The first 2 pics in the book are of Notre Dame and then it’s never mentioned. Also Jules Verne is no longer an Alain Ducasse restaurant and A simple google maps search told me Ballroom is permanently closed.
