Title: Excellent recipes, unique and lovely presentation
Review: This is one of the loveliest cookbooks I have ever purchased. The recipes are stunningly simple, yielding delicious and consistent results . I have made the ever classic madelines , the chocolate-pistachio cookies, and the almond tuiles. I am pleased with the results. The recipes contain tips, tricks, and anecdotes that are both useful and charming. This book is the closest thing to having a French grandmother in the kitchen with you.

Title: Can’t say enough good things!
Review: Have you been to A La Mere de Famille in Paris? If so, this is a must have as it brings all your memories to life right on the pages of the book! There is a plethora of recipes with easy to follow directions but it is the history of the store that held me from the very first. This is a beautiful book!Don’t forget that if you speak French, this book came out first in French so you might want to have it in French instead!

I own 200 books on baking and this book cuts thru all the #@$^ and just makes it so easy to produce the best! I wish there were a little more back story, but boy everything is so good ! Review: A beautiful book about the history and sweet recipes of a legendary Parisian confectionerthat has centuries of discerning Parisian palate, which says a lot.It tells the whole history of the store and It also takes you right there, down to the tiled floor on the opening page.The recipes and photos are excellent, the illustrations are nice,but I did not like the format featuring random customerswho don’t even shop there that often. Who cares what they eat?Tell me more about chocolates instead !It’s still a keeper – a beautiful book full of traditional French treats recipes.

Written with passion and enthusiasm, not just a collection of ingredients and process. Photographs of final cooked items and the confectioners add the final perfect touch. I am working my way through this book, and everything has come out tasting great so far.
