Title: Better – and deeper – than I expected
Review: I’ll admit it: ogling pictures of Paris and reading about the Parisienne lifestyle is one of my guilty pleasures. I get that it’s exoticizing, etc. but I’m going to let myself slide on this one.I figured I would add this book to my small stack of “pretty to look at and dream of being that girl” books… but it turned out to be a lot more. The inspiration for this book was the November attacks in Paris, and the authors wanted to re-learn to love their changing city. The women they interview span the neighborhoods and represent different ages, careers, races, ethnicities, and perspectives. I found it really interesting to read about what each woman thought was important, and the interviews seemed to carry a unique voice for each subject.Combined with the beautiful, moody photos, the humorous interjections to lift up a sometimes heavy topic, and the tips for places to visit (already mapped for my upcoming trip), this was a real winner.

Title: Love this book!
Review: Came across this gem of a book at a new high end hair salon I was trying out for the first time and totally fell in love with the book. By the time my hair cut ended I felt bad I was so engrossed with the book I didn’t get a chance to engage much with the stylist. She laughed and said she totally understood and it happened often when someone chose that book. Before I even left the salon I had ordered a copy for my sister who loves France, and one for myself too. Good quality book and just fun and cool stories uniquely written that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Happy to recommend and hope you have as much fun reading too as I have.

Title: Easy, enjoyable read
Review: Iâm going to Paris next year and this was exactly the type of book I wanted to get genuine insight on lifestyle in the city. The women profiled are all very different yet share a common thread of love for Paris. Itâs escapism into the lives of interesting and stylish Parisians; giving me ideas on not so typical places to explore. A sweet dessert of a book.

Title: Perfect Saturday noon book and insights into Paris
Review: Best book i have read. I was looking for an insight into Paris and its quirks. I have always loved Jeanne damasâ effortless cool style and was so excited to read this book. Hours passed by and not even once i felt like i was reading a book. It felt like I was a part of the place and its people. Paris has always inspired me but this book certainly gives more than one could hope to know by just visiting . Highly recommended with a glass of wine.
